A credit is BROVi Scan's unit for AI work. Deterministic checks (rule-based scoring with no AI model involved) are free and stay free. A credit is only spent when a real AI review actually runs for you; if the AI call fails, the credit is refunded.
What spends credits #
| Feature | Cost |
|---|---|
| Trip match scan (rule-based) | Free |
| Document checklist | Free |
| AI review (trip match, documents, or interview answer) | Uses 1 credit |
| Bank statement AI review | Uses 2 credits |
| Readiness report page | Free (compiled from your scans) |
| BROVi assistant chat | Free |
The AI review buttons on the trip match, document scan, and interview pages all run the same AI readiness analysis, which is why they share one cost. The bank statement AI review is charged only when the AI analysis is actually delivered; if it is unavailable, you still get the free rule-based estimate and no credit is used.
Honest limit
Assistant chat is free at the base rate but has usage allowances: free accounts have a daily message allowance, and paid plans include a weekly allowance with heavy overage metered in credits. Exact limits are not published and can be adjusted; see Usage and limits.
Where credits come from #
- Signup grant. New accounts get 10 free credits, one time. They never renew.
- Plan credits. Paid plans include a monthly credit allotment that resets each billing period. Unused plan credits do not roll over.
Plan names and current prices live on the pricing page; the docs deliberately do not duplicate numbers that can change.
See your balance #
Open Settings, then Usage in your workspace. The usage page shows your remaining balance, your plan, when your credits reset, and a per-feature breakdown of where credits went.
When credits run out #
Nothing breaks. Free features keep working. If you try an AI review with an empty balance you get an honest message instead of a silent downgrade, and you can either wait for your plan reset or upgrade.
