Document Scan

What it does #

Document Scan turns "do I have everything?" into a concrete checklist. You work through a structured list of 36 document items (passport, transcripts, admission letter, sponsor proofs, and so on), mark the status of each, and get a readiness score weighted toward the documents that are required rather than optional. You can also attach files, which are stored privately against your account.

What you need before using it #

Nothing is required up front. It helps to know your target country and route so you can judge which optional items apply to you. Signing in is needed for attachments to be saved to private storage.

Using it #

1. Open Document Scan in the workspace.
2. Work through the checklist and set a status on each item you know about: Available, Missing, Needs translation, Needs legalization, Needs update, or Not applicable.
3. Optionally upload attachments. Files are saved to private, per-user storage; if the upload cannot be saved, the file is kept locally in your browser and you are told so.
4. Run the scan to get your document readiness score and the lists of required and optional items still missing.
5. Optionally select AI review for a model-based read of the same checklist.

Understanding your results #

The score reflects how complete your set of required documents is; missing a required document weighs much more than missing an optional one. The "still missing" lists are the actionable output: they name exactly which required items to chase next. Statuses like Needs translation exist because a document you hold but cannot submit yet is a real gap.

Credits #

The checklist and its scoring are free (Free). The optional AI review runs the shared AI readiness analysis (Uses 1 credit) and is refunded automatically if the AI call fails.
